If you're looking for a militaria fair in the Norfolk and Suffolk area then take heed of these dates and head east.
Thetford Militaria Fair is now in its sixth year and has gained a reputation for being a friendly, well attended fair. Fair dates have been announced for 2017 and include Sunday 9 April, 2 July and 1 October.
The venue is located around one mile from the main A11 on the Norfolk/ Suffolk border. Dealers can park immediately outside the two sets of unloading doors and access is flat. The organiser, Susan Wright, has been a dealer for 30 years. Thetford Militaria fair is very well attended attracting many collectors who do not attend fairs further afield, resulting in a loyal following of serious buyers. Visitors can expect to find specialists in aeronautica, deactivated weapons and ordnance, bayonets, daggers, swords, uniforms, insignia, medals, badges, documents, books, equipment and antique firearms. The hall is well lit and has ample space for the 100 or so tables. There is also free parking for over 400 cars and a café. The fair opens to public and trade at 10am and closes at 2pm. Admission is £3.
More photographs of the fairs are available at norfolkfairs.com in the militaria gallery. Extensive advertising not only results in great attendance but also in militaria being brought in to the fair to sell by members of the public. Susan is happy to direct people to the most appropriate dealer. For booking enquiries please contact Susan on 07596 436260 or email [email protected]
