Virus epidemic sweeping the world
Auction houses are starting to make announcements about how the Coronavirus is impacting their businesses. We will round them all up in this story and update as we go along.
Humber & Ellis statement:
‘Humbert & Ellis Auctioneers Ltd wish to reassure all our buyers and sellers that we are taking all reasonable precautions at our Towcester Salerooms to minimise the potential spread or cross-contamination of Coronavirus (Covid-19) with frequent cleaning and sanitising of shared surfaces etc.
Online bidding is available for all our auctions for buyers as is P&P.
Free local collection for small items is offered for all our local self-isolating vendors over 70 where ‘doorstep collection’ is offered in return for a generic receipt of goods. A detailed list will then follow by post or email. We are very happy for sellers to drop items to our premises where we will book them in with minimal contact outside our front door.’
