The team behind Family Tree magazine has launched Family Tree Plus, an online community that offers interactive club meetings, magazine library and more.
Family Tree Plus provides members with an online programme of presentations and discussions covering a rich range of family history topics at the monthly meetings of the Study Club, DNA Club and Genealogy Gadgets Club.
In addition, Family Tree Plus members enjoy unlimited access to a growing and searchable online library of Family Tree magazine back issues, immediate access to the latest online edition of Family Tree, a library of genealogy resources, an exclusive newsletter, and special discounts.
Family Tree Editor Helen Tovey said, “With Family Tree Plus we’ll continue to do what we’ve always done – create useful, friendly content with our audience at its heart. We’re so excited to bring family historians and experts together, so we can all learn, discover and share. This interaction and feeling of community is just one part of the online membership, and we can’t wait to show genealogists the many other benefits of becoming a member.”
Family Tree Plus online library
Each month Family Tree members will have immediate access to the latest issue of Family Tree magazine, delivered as a digital copy to their online Family Tree Plus library, which, at launch, will contain three years of back issues.
Club meetings
The programme of Family Tree Plus club meetings will see the Study Club, DNA Club and Genealogy Gadgets Club meeting once a month, giving members the chance to learn together in an online space. The meetings are held live, giving members the chance to ask experts and get the knowledge they need there and then. Every meeting is also recorded for on-demand viewing.
Family historians are being given the chance to take a 7-day free trial to Family Tree Plus, with no credit card needed and no commitment. Details here.
To enable family historians to fully experience Family Tree Plus, the first club meetings are being made available to all to attend (even if a 7-day free trial period has expired). To get the links to attend the online September club meetings, just sign up for a free 7-day trial and you will find the meeting links on your membership homepage.
