A collaboration between Forces War Records and the charity, Remembered, will make 10in commemorative Tommies available for purchase.
The Remembered charity spent 2018 putting up Tommy statues all over the UK, and the world, in 2018, for the There But Not There campaign to mark the centenary of the end of WWI. The 10in/25cm tall Perspex acrylic Tommy was designed to commemorate the 888,246 British and Commonwealth servicemen and women who lost their lives in WWI. It has gone on to become representative of all those who have fallen in the service of their country.
To celebrate and announce this partnership, Forces War Records is offering a 10in figure at the exclusive rate of £24.99 (RRP: £29.99). The profits from the sale of these figures will support six beneficiary charities who focus on veterans and mental health: The Royal Foundation, Walking With The Wounded, Combat Stress, Help for Heroes, The Commonwealth War Graves Commission and Project Equinox: Housing Veterans.
Further still, the purchase of these Tommies provides employment to a team of veterans at Royal British Legion Industries (RBLI) who manufacture and package the Tommy in its commemorative box, before it is posted out to you.
Supporting the charity by bringing a Tommy home ensures today’s veterans receive the support they deserve. You can order a Tommy Perspex statue at https://www.forces-war-records.co.uk/shop/tommy.
