After losing access to its home range during the 1990s, Reeds Target Shooting Club has started construction of a brand new facility at Lordswood Sports and Social Club in Kent.

Reeds is a large and successful multi-discipline target shooting club long-established in the Maidstone area of Kent. It is Home Office approved with approval for full-bore rifle, small- bore rifle & muzzle loading pistol, and is NRA & NSRA affiliated. Founded in 1917, Reeds has historical links to the paper mills at Aylesford.

Since losing its range in the 1990s, Reeds has rented space from several local Kent clubs, whilst also shooting at Bisley and various commerical clay shooting sites. After much fund- raising, the club is now in a position to develop a new facility at Lordswood, comprising a four lane 25 yard target range for small-bore and centre-fire pistol calibres, as well as muzzle- loading pistol shooting. In addition the building will contain a four/five lane 10m airgun range and spacious clubroom and will be accessible for those of all abilities.

The foundations for the range are now laid and quotes are being collated for the rest of the build. Please follow the club on Twitter (@reeds_tsc) for updates of the range’s progress, or visit the club website at www.reedstargetshootingclub.co.uk for further information.
