Sunday, 25 November saw the launch of the first Whitwick Militaria Fair in northwest Leicestershire.
Held in the sports hall at the Hermitage Leisure centre in Whitwick, northwest Leicestershire, the fair proved popular with dealers and public alike, with queuing for admittance from 9am. There was a great variety of stock on offer from de-activated weapons to antique military books.
The venue was easily accessible from both the M1 and the M42 and featured free parking and an on-site café. There are three further fairs planned for 2019 with the first being held on Sunday, 14 April. Opening times will be 10am-2pm, admission is £3.50.
Meanwhile, on Sunday, 6 January 2019 Norfolk Fairs will host the first Thetford Militaria Fair of 2019. Now in its 7th year it offers around 130 tables of militaria including de-activated weapons and antique arms. The fair runs from 10am-2pm and admission is £3.
