The Lincs Aviation Historic Centre at East Kirkby, home of the Just Jane Lancaster bomber, has announced plans for re-opening.

The home of the WWII bomber has announced that the site will re-open on 17 May and will operate in a Covid-secure fashion until the magic date of 21 June when restrictions will hopefully be finally removed. The Centre has admission tickets for its open days from 17 May to  20 June available. There will be the Lancaster and Mosquito socially distanced taxy runs from 17 May and you can see the taxy run dates for 2021 on the link here.

The suggestion is that events will be able to continue after the 21 June 2021 so Lincs Aviation plans to go ahead with the East Kirkby Air Show on 7 August 2021 and hold the Lanc, Tank and Military Machines event on 28 and 30 August 2021.
Due to the dates of the road map the 1940's dance has been postponed to 18 September 2021 so if you have tickets from 2020 these will be valid for the 2021 date.  If you have tickets for the 1940's dance and you cannot make the new date then you can return the tickets to the Centre for a refund.
Other events that have been rescheduled are the 2021
Bomber County Photography Day, which will be on 24 September, and the car photoshoot event  on 17 July.
Finally, the site organisers commented: ‘2021 is undoubtedly going to be a strange year as the whole of the country tries to fit 12 months of events and activities into six months. We just hope that everything goes to plan and we can welcome you all back to the Centre in May and see the site come to life to its full potential in the summer.’
