The Royal Armouries museum at Leeds is now closed until further notice.
The museum, based on the dockside at Leeds, has made the following announcement:
‘The safety and security of the Royal Armouries’ visitors and staff is of paramount importance and we take this responsibility very seriously. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have taken the decision to close our museums in Leeds and at Fort Nelson to the public with effect from 18 March 2020.
The daily programme and special museum events at both Leeds and Fort Nelson have been cancelled with immediate effect. We will be contacting those of you have already booked event tickets.
While our museums are closed you can still view our collections online and via our social media.
Fort Nelson venue hire
Existing bookings: Our Venue Hire Manager will be in touch with you shortly if you have hired rooms at the museum for events due to take place in the next few months. Please contact [email protected] if you have any queries about existing or future venue hire bookings.’
