Although it sounds like one of those, what does it look like now books from After the Battle, the title simply means photos from before D-Day and then from the fighting in France once the landings had happened.

 

All the pictures are from the Mirrorpix photo library so many have rarely been seen. While there are some from before the invasion, most are after the troops have landed. Here, then, are young men catching desperately needed sleep, rubble strewn French towns, prisoners and casualties smiling for the camera.
