This is a five disc DVD collection, using rare and original wartime films from the British Home Front. Really, it’s a collection of short propaganda films, made by the Ministry of Information. The collection includes the Home Guard (over 30 shorts), London can take it! (seven films), Women and Children at War (14 films), and Writers at War (nine films). All are black and white, and while the footage is wobbly and uses a 4:3 ratio, you really get a feeling for how the public were kept informed at the time.
