A book by Chris McNab
The Paratrooper Training Pocket Manual 1939-1945
The latest in a series of pocket books from Osprey is a training manual for paratroopers in WWII. It covers recruitment and training, airborne gear, glider and aircraft deployment, at the drop and landing zone, and achieving objectives. As usual, there are sketches, murky photos and plenty of tables, along with fairly small print text. It packs a lot of information into a pocket book format, even if the prose is very dry and somewhat at odds with the boys-own adventure style cover.
