The latest in Osprey’s Combat series, this is Number 33 and covers the protagonists in Sicily, Normandy and during Operation Market Garden, from 1943-44.
It starts with an overview of the training and equipment of both soldier types, with illustrations to show the uniforms and gear. Then there are three example battles where the foes are pitched against each other – Biazza Ridge, La Fiére and Nijmegen. There are colour illustrations, contemporary photos and an analysis to finish another first rate book.
