On the face of it, a book about where to go and what to see in the Normandy region, for D-Day tourists, is a great idea. The aim of this book is to do it either on your own, in group or as a teacher with schoolkids in tow. It contains places to visit and suggested activities and histories to introduce. The problem is that it’s put together in a piecemeal fashion with history lessons ladled over the locations making it difficult to extract the information you want. It’s a good concept, just badly implemented.
