Burma: A Soldier's Campaign in 20 Objects Burma: A Soldier's Campaign in 20 Objects
BY DAVID MEARA

The path of telling a story through the use of objects has been well trod, to greater or lesser effect, by now. In this one, it’s the story of Captain John Alexander of the Royal Engineers and the Burma Campaign in general, with the objects from his collection scattered throughout. On top of that are various other images that are used to fill out the story.

So, it’s a wider concept than is normally employed for these kind of books. Even though the overall design is dated, the story itself is very interesting and well worth a read.
