With a faux-jolly front cover and a catchy title, this look at tourism and holidays in the Third Reich could be mistaken for a satirical or comedic take on the subject matter. Especially with a subtitle of State sponsored fun in Nazi Germany. However, it never really hits home with any humour or absurdity and sticks to plodding along with facts. Despite putting in quotes aplenty, it doesn’t really capture the mood of the nation in the early years of Nazi control.
